Itinerary: Otavalo Artisan Market & Cotacachi
Day 1 – Full Day – Otavalo Textiles, Peguche Culture & Cotacachi Leather
Our adventure begins in Quito, traveling north through spectacular Andean landscapes. During the approximately two-hour journey, enjoy mountain valleys and panoramic viewpoints toward Imbabura province.
Our first stop is Otavalo at Plaza de los Ponchos, discovering colorful textiles, traditional clothing, handmade crafts, and jewelry created by local artisans.
We continue to Peguche for a traditional lunch and the special Mindalae cultural experience, followed by a visit to a master workshop crafting Andean panpipes, flutes, and drums.
Our final stop is Cotacachi, renowned for its high-quality leather jackets, bags, and shoes before returning to Quito in the afternoon.
